Abraham House Programs

Abraham House's programs provide an innovative alternative to incarceration, by providing new life and new hope for the incarcerated and their families. Begun solely as a residential alternative to prison, Abraham House has since expanded to provide a full range of assistance and services to any person who has been incarcerated and to the families of inmates, particularly their young children. Our goal is to break the cycle of crime, from grandparent to child. To achieve this we offer a heartfelt welcome — and constructive aid — in order to improve these people's lives.

Today, Abraham House operates three primary programs: an Alternative to Incarceration Program, a Family & Pastoral Center (which includes a Food Pantry), and a year-round After School Program. In total, Abraham House serves more than 4800 people annually who come from all over the tri-state area to create and participate in a community of hope and transformation.
